A Penny for your Thoughts

         A penny saved is a penny earned.

         If you give him a penny for his thoughts, youd get change.

         A penny is a lot of money, if you have not a penny.

         Penny wise is often pound foolish.

There are many quotes referencing our smallest coin, the penny. Although small, they will be required to deliver the mail.

The United States Postal Service will be raising postal rates, this time by a penny.  The 1-cent increase will go into effect May 12, 2008 for a first-class stamp from the current 41cents to 42 cents.
